Addressing a press conference here, lawyer Prashan Bhushan and Right to Information (RTI) activist Arvind Kejriwal circulated a statement of accounts of all the five civil society members.
Social activist Anna Hazare, who went on a 97-hour fast that led the government to set up the joint panel, submitted that he owns 2.53 hectares land, valued at Rs.68,688.36. Out of this, 0.07 hectares is family land being used by other family members, 2 hectares donated by the army was in turn donated for his village's use and 0.46 hectares, donated by villagers to Hazare, was also donated for common use. He has a balance of 67,188.36 in his bank account and Rs.1,500 cash in hand.
Shanti Bhushan submitted a statement of account at Rs.1,367,172, 287 for the last ten years. He revealed he owns three houses and two flats in Noida, a plot in Banglore, a house in Allahabad, agricultural land in Roorkee (Uttarakhand) and farmland in Noida measuring 10,000 square meters.
His son, Prashant Bhushan owns a house in Jangpura area of New Delhi, a flat in Supreme Cooperative Group Housing Society, 4,800 square metres agriculture land in Himanchal Pradesh, a share in a housing property in Allahabad and movable property valued at Rs.2 crore.
Justice Hegde, presently the Lok Ayukta (ombudsman) of Karnataka, declared he has cash amounting to Rs. 30,00,000 in three bank accounts in State Bank of India and Yes Bank.
Kejriwal declared his properties to be worth Rs.55 lakh.
